What got my chicken?

Found her this morning. Half her face and her neck and her butt have been eaten

first is one side of head ,then the other side,and third is her hind end
didnt realize she had molted so much

Perhaps a fox, or A dog. I’ve had dogs kill mine before, but it looked much worse than this.

It's hard to say what the predator is but be sure it will be back. If you have a camera put it up and then you will know what you're dealing with. Good luck...

It was overnight locked in there pen. I’m wondering if it had died and the chickens did this???

Check the coop for any signs of break ins. If it is a predator, they WILL come back just like @cmom said. When we had the dog attack, they came back for 4-5 days in a row, just make sure they didn’t come back(if it is a predator)

I have no idea what predator you are dealing with.
Agree that a game cam can help you see what's lurking about.

Might not be a bad idea to set a cage trap, usually will catch Raccoon or Possum if that's what's getting in. Don't trap unless you are ready and willing to dispatch.
