I came home to find my rooster dead and his stomach eaten. His carcass was out in the open yard and there were 2 seperate piles of feathers nearby. They were let out at 630 am and fine when I left for work at about 710. Nothing else from my flock is missing, including my five guineas. I have 8 hens, 5 juvenile roosters, and 4 pullets. Everyone was free ranging all day.
The rooster that was kiiled was my only bantam, a silkie, everyone else is standard (or nearly fully grown).
I live in Pa, in a rural area, with woods behind my house. I have an idea what did this, but would like to narrow it down. I really don't want to post pictures, because this is making me sick.
