No. Not at all. My hens feather out faster than my drakes, so they get the green speculum feathers earlier than my drakes, ive never had a drake feather out faster than my hens.

my drakes always did

like I said, I never did say it WAS a drake, but im pretty sure...

If you got them from Metzer, he will probably give you a credit on it and toss a sexed female rouen in the next batch you order. It's not a big thing, he just likes his customers happy. Same deal for me with one of my harlies. I need a single replacement on my replacements!

Cluck, one of my juvenile harlequins I am betting will feather exactly like your "middle" gal.

I love harlequins. If I had to start over I would probably only buy harlequins... although, I have to admit my golden 300s and white layers are my most affectionate ducks.

Yeah, if I could of started over I would have just gotten 6 female harlies, and 2 males and be done with it...

The girl in the middle had a very quiet and semi-raspy sound. That's why I thought I had gotten a male.

But as time went on, she showed more signs of female, although she is still pretty quiet compared the the other two who are VERY loud.

Oh, I can see why tou think it was a male. Im acctually hopeing for a girl

maybe it cuz i dont have a boy so nothing to compare to, but all of mine a raspy and they dont quack when i pick them up, they are as quite as a mouse.
soo could this not be as accurate as we think.. or is it going to be significantly differant once i get a boy.... but dont seeing it being much of an indicater.
