What happened to Captain Beefcake's comb?

I was gone for two weeks and came home to find that one of the spikes on my roo's comb looks white and withered. Online research says frostbite ... but it hasn't gotten much below 50. So maybe he got into a fight? Or it's a parasite or something? Any help is greatly appreciated because I have NO idea what this is about.

Do you have other roosters or areas in your fense or something where he might have nicked it? Is he acting ok other than that?

There's one other roo that I'm in the process of getting rid of, so maybe they got in a tussle. Though Captain Beefcake is by far the dominant one ... He's acting completely normally otherwise--it doesn't seem to bother him at all!
