A coupe years ago, DH went on a backpacking trip with his BF and came home wanting chickens. Not even 2 months later, we got 6 pullets. Now 2 yrs later we have 28 hens, 2 roos and have butchered another 20 for meat. Now I want to move next summer so we can get several acres. Our half acre won't hold the chicks I want to hatch, plus the ducks, guineas, turkeys, goats, rabbits and pigs that I would like. I really want an EE roo to breed to my Wellsummers so I can get olive eggers!

DH says there is nothing wrong at all since it's all about being self-sustainable.

He wants to go back to school now to get a degree in agriculture.

I just want my very own petting zoo.
