Actually, in regards to the loudness of the rooster...my neighbor has 5 dogs that bark all day and all night, so if the rooster noise bothers anyone, I think I will just play the recordings of the dogs to the court and see if the judge can sleep through that...
I also had a neighbor who had a rooster as a "pet" and it only crowed at 5am, actually it's what I used for my alarm, when it crowed, I knew It would be time to get up in the morning, which was very hard due to lack of sleep because of the dogs.
Legal or illegal, that is something you need to check with the Department of buildings. I have chickens and I really don't want a rooster, but I do believe I've been speckldorfed and they gave me a rooster in the mix, if so, I think I will just take it up to a farm in Pennsylvannia and have them trade a laying hen that already lays for a FABULOUSLY LAVISH INDOOR ROOSTER. I keep my chickens in the basement, they are free to run, jump, fly...I really dont think I will take them to the yard except in the summertime we have RACOONS in the neighborhood and I dont want one getting my BABIES...
Well, good luck with your chickens/rooster. Dont get me wrong I have three dogs of my own but they only bark when there is danger or they believe someone is trying to hurt me or my husband, the doorbell rings and they come running but they sit and wait, they never bark unless they feel threatened. THAT IS A WELL TRAINED DOG...
