I worm my birds monthly and have mostly used Valbazen and Safeguard over the years and have eaten the eggs. I'm still here typing.

I'd do some research, likely it won't cause any harm unless you are unwell or taking other drugs that may interact with it.

Valbazen is Albendazole which is a benzimidazole class anthelmintic. I think Fenbendazole (Safeguard) is another.
Both of these are used to treat worms in humans (and animals/birds) and may also be prescribed to treat other conditions as deemed appropriate by your physician.

There are studies looking at using these to treat cancers and other things too, so it may be worth digging around and seeing what's been plubished.

While I don't think there is a specific withdrawal period stated for Poultry since it's used off label, the common knowledge consensus seems to be a withdrawal period of 14 days after the last dose when treating with Albendazole (Valbazen). So you're looking at throwing away eggs for 24 days.
Valbazen is given once, then repeated in 10 days.
