what happens when a duck eats a greasy, salty food?

my ducks got fed french fries despite the fact that i have repeatedly asked for my pets not to be fed anything that i didn't ok first and im honestly really upset over it
will they be okay? is it fine just this once? should i make them throw it up or something????

They will be absolutely fine. Have you seen some of the things they scavenge out of the ground.

I feed mine left over veg from supper with margarine on it...Not daily but it does not hurt them....

at this point im more angry over the fact that someone who should know not to feed animals (especially birds) anything salty or greasy did it and then laughed about it
i assumed theyd be okay if it didnt happen often, i just wanted to be sure
