My oldest BO hen is (for the time being) in with my Black Cochin Roo (Rhett)
I gathered up a bunch of eggs in May and stuck them in the bator. I ended up hatching 10 Chicks.
Half were pure Black Cochin (from my Cochin Hen , Scarlett)
The other half I originallt thought might be from my RIR Hen as they were born looking like this :
Well I think they really must have been Babs (Buff Orp Hen)
Cause now they look like this:
The larger one actually has some Gold/Buff lacing on part of her feathers. The smaller one , the "buff" is more muddy looking. THe feathers on their feet are greyish and the larger has the white Orp legs and the smaller has the black Cochin legs.
They are sweet none the less and intersting looking.
