What happens when you send Hubby to the store for you

Yesterday was a fairly nice day, warm for November. DH was itching to have an excuse to ride his motorcycle. He asked me if I needed anything from the store. I did, but it was something I needed to pick out myself and too big to fit in the saddle bags on his bike. I needed a new tackle box to keep my jewelry making supplies in. I have two small ones, but they are jammed full. So, DH rides off.

Two hours later he comes home with this huge tackle box strapped behind him on the bike seat. If I keep ordering jewelry supplies it would take me about 10 years to fill this thing.

$59!! The box I intended to buy was about half the size and half the price.

From now on when I need something I think I'll send hubby.

The Big Guy is great when he goes to the store. I just don't like to grocery shopping with him. It is like a military operation. We walk in the store a power walking speed. He takes basket, I spend rest of shopping trip bolting down aisles to grab items we need and huck them in the cart. I'd swear this was an Olympic timed event! His other little thing with shopping drives me crazy?
He hates to go to more than one place per trip to town. We had to go pick up the kid from the weekend with is mom. The pick up/drop off point is 60 miles away. We need the pipe to install our wood burning stove. This store is 2 blocks away from drop off point. It took 6 weeks to get him to go there. He wanted to wait and make the trip over there just to go to the that store.

Well the way we deal with purchases...if we shop together and there is something he wants but doesn't need he pays for it. If there's something I want but don't need I pay for it. Otherwise he pays all our expenses. So the tackle box ends up being a gift.

I make mostly earrings, but right now am doing a few necklaces for friends.

Keith knows your history of always buying small. Look back on your recent thread about number of coops to prove that.

Keith just knew the next time you wanted anither jewelty making supplies box it would be raining, so he took care of the problem beforehand.
