Okay! Thank you for the reply. There is growth and theres no signs of pipping. And the temp has been at 98-99.5 And I believe everything has been so consistent. I have a water tube going in so i don't have to open it. I will let them be. Thanks again.I am nowhere close to being knowledgeable about this...
Could you candle the other eggs to see if there is growth?
Has there been any signs of pipping?
Has the humidity level and the temps stayed consistent? And appropriate? (Ok, so I know a little about this.)
If it were me, I'd probably let the eggs be...some babies take a bit longer to hatch.
Okay, Im sorry about your chick! tyThat happened to one of our chicks. She had been placed accidentally under a heat lamp, but wasn't covered at all, and dried up to much and it looks similar to that. Maybe something like that happened could also be bacterial infection too like @BantyChooks said
Okay! Thank you!!!! I did not wash my eggs because I heard once that it helps them not get sick to leave whatever is on the shell there. I did buy them from a seller because no local people sold buttons at the time. I also use Little Giant. Mine is 9200. But I drilled holes in ice cube trays, and set them in there to turn by hand until lock down. I will disinfect! thank you.Did you wash your eggs before incubation? Or did you buy them from a seller? Also the best way to stop bacterial infections before and during incubation, is to disinfect your incubator before and after use. Spraying with rubbing alcohol and left to dry works best. I always do this before I incubate. I've hatched and raised coturnix quails for about 4 years now. And I prefer to use Little Giant 9300 stryro foam incubator with it's egg Turner for coturnix. Just seems to work the best for me.
