What hatchery does TS special orders come from?

Hmm... I don't live close enough to a TSC for me to have much of an opinion, but that seems like way too much monkey business to order chicks.

So I just looked at their order form online, considering they offer Russian Orloff, my guess is Ideal. That's a way-out-on-a-limb guess. I'm just not sure of any other big hatcheries that offer the Orloffs.
Thanks. That was what I was thinking. The only reason I was considering ordering is because I think I can get them shipped to the store and not pay shipping, which would save a boat load of money. Of course I need to double check and if that's not the case I will just go ahead and order directly from a hatchery.

The front of the form says that you pick them up at your local post office.

And at $3.49 a chick I figure the shipping is built in!

I didn't even see that!

I was looking at the narragansett turkeys, which at 9.99 a poult isn't a horrible deal. Mcmurray's are 10.22 a piece for 20 or more and that's without shipping.
And still has a total minimum order of 25 birds, and ordering in multiples of 5/breed.
I never order under 25 so that doesn't matter to me.

Cackle sells their heritage turkeys for $9.05 each plus shipping but are not selling narragansett this year. My bourbon red and blue slate turkeys come from them and are good quality.

I'm not talking about the in-store orders that they get to fill the bins, but the special orders. They have those order forms in the stores where you can order "rare" breeds of poultry, turkeys, geese, guineas, and ducks. I'm wondering where those birds come from. Up in this area the birds they get in-store come from Mt.Healthy, but they don't carry half the breeds they advertise on the order forms they have in the store.
Hopefully customer service will get back to you. Otherwise, it's anybody's guess.

Well customer service got back to me. This is what they said.

Glad to know they are just as clueless at the corporate level.

I mean someone has to know where the turkeys come from, how else do they know where to send the order forms?

i know my tsc gets its chicks from ideal poultry its about an hour from my house (ideal not tsc) so it must be regional they just order from the closest hatchery large enough to keep them supplyed.
