I was told these are olive eggers. I've tried looking them up, but haven't seen pics of anything that looks similar. I'm trying to figure out the sex. I have one who's wing feathers seem to be all black, black feet with what looks like boots coming in, and one who has white under black on its wings with yellow feet, no boots. When they were brand new the looked exactly the same. The one with white feathers got its wing feathers very quickly. It's wings were fully feathered before the other one had its tips feathered. These are the best pics I could get.

. Looks like the one with white under its wings is developing a tiny comb.

They look like my Olive Eggers, which are a blue Ameraucana X blue copper Marans.

Remember, Olive Eggers are mutts that carry genes for a blue egg shell and dark brown egg coating. That's all they need to be Olive Eggers. That means that there are a huge number of different breed and mutt combinations that can make an Olive Egger. All that matters is the genes for the egg color, which are separate from the genes for down and feather color.

Since you have some with feathered legs, I'd say they are some kind of Marans mix which is consistent with Olive Egger breeding. If one parent was an Ameraucana then you'll have 100% Olive Eggers out of the cross.

If someone crossed an Easter Egger (itself a mutt with one blue egg gene) with a Marans, 50% of the chicks would inherit the blue egg gene and 50% would not, so you'd get 50% Olive Eggers from the cross. Basically, you'll have to wait and see if they lay olive eggs to know if they are olive eggers.

As far as sex, your chicks are way too young.

Ah, ok, thank you. I was hoping the differences were contributed to sex. I'll wait it out. ;D
