Anyone else enjoy YA reads?
I just read What The Fireflies Knew by Kai Harris.
Seemed more Very Young Adult(about a 10yo black girl),
but I enjoyed it.
Most my books are chosen by the library staff and they sometimes include YA books,
a different perspective for this 60yo woman who is not around any young people.

I've read a couple of Reginald Hill's books in the Dalziel and Pascoe series. British police procedurals, set in Yorkshire. I want to read more.

The first one I read was Dialogues of the Dead, and I really liked it.

Love british crime drama. Just ordered the first in the series.... A Clubbable Woman
Let me know how you like it. The two I've read are a lot later in the series, so I felt like I was supposed to know the characters better. But the mystery kept me going.

There's a bit of dialect in the dialog... "summat", "nowt" and "owt." And "lass" and "lad." I like that.

Will do.
I like the cultural dialects too.

I've been reading A Good Girl's Guide To Murder. It's probably 13+ish.
It's written by Holly Jackson.
I loved it. It is the best book ever written, at least to me.
