Finished:

Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit

The Screw Tape Letters by C.S. Lewis

The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy

Started:
Stars of Alabama by Sean Dietrich

The Great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald

Falling Up by Silverstein

The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan

Stopped by the thrift store this afternoon and they had books for sale for four for a dollar so I bought 8. Some I’ve read before some I haven’t. I was really excited to find a copy of The Last Lecture!

Just finished I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson.
YA book, but I really enjoyed it overall.

Started Writing Wild by Kathryn Aalto, interesting but is going to be a between other books read.

Now reading Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead....not a big fan of his, but it's reading well so far.

I’ve got a long list of finished books this week. Lots of short books and ones I’ve been working on for a week or two.

Finished:

Falling Up by Silverstein

Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan

The Giver by Lois Lowry (I really enjoyed this one. It wasn’t at all like I expected)

Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte

Five Total Strangers by Natalie D. Richards (another one I really liked. It kept me guessing).

The Great Gatsby by Scott F. Fitzgerald (I really didn’t like this one. I can see why it’s a classic but I didn’t enjoy it)

Started:

The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan

Inseparable by Simone de Beauvoir
Interesting but depressing.

Jailhouse Lawyer by Nancy Allen and James Patterson
Typically subpar.

Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead
Not bad.

Women in Sunlight by Frances Mayes
Beautifully excellent....kind of an old girls coming of age.
Being an old girl myself, I found it relatable.

Finished:

Dancing on the Edge by Han Nolan
This one will be going on the reread list as I think I missed several things.

Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan

Where the World Ends by Geraldine McCaughrean. Enjoyed this one. Definitely enjoyed it more than Lord of The Flies. It was both similar to Lord of the Flies and completely different at the same time.

Started:

Across Five Aprils by Irene Hunt

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

Send by Patty Blount

Beowulf

I’ve been redoing the storage all week and plan on starting on the bookshelves Tuesday. Including finishing one which has been half painted for about 6 years lol. I’m excited about actually having an organization system for my books.

Started: If I Stay by by Gayle Forman

Haven’t gotten much reading done this week. Had to take new foster kittens to the vet and have been feeling pretty poorly myself on top of deep cleaning all week. We are all finally on the mend though. Just started sorting all my books to put them on the shelves.

Across Five Aprils is a favorite!

I finished
How to Avoid a Climate Disaster by Gates.
And
Slanted by Sharyl Attkinson
And
Furies of Calderon by Jim Butcher
And
something I got at a garage sale that I don't remember title or author... a trilogy of sort of short stories with one awful, one not very good, and one not too bad story but it was on cd so worked for driving. James Patterson, maybe? I don't think I've read anything else by him
