What have you paid for a six-pack of plants?

I work for a nursery in CA, and we sell 6 packs for $2.50 retail x6= $15.00 flat, and we buy them for $1.50 ea or $9.00 flat. Our prices are very competitive with other independent nurseries, sometimes the big box stores get huge bulk discounts and can offer them cheaper, but you get what you pay for!! Don't sell yourself short, but be fair with your pricing if you are offering a good product.

We also give 10% senior discounts and trade discounts on bedding plants, so $2.25 is our low price, for annuals, perennials, and vegetables. I might add, that these are the Jumbo six packs, not the real tiny ones.. there are 6 jumbo packs per flat.

Thanks guys, this has been really helpful!

I think I will tell my professor that six packs have been selling between $2 and $3. We have a lot of really cool plants and all of them are heirloom. We have everything from purple tomatoes, to lettuce and neat stuff called "Beet berries". I wish I had more space in my garden!
