What height are everyones coop off the floor?

The little, monitor coop was originally 18" off the ground. It's a little lower at the moment on deteriorated posts but when permanently installed on new, concrete posts it will be at least 24".

My Brahma rooster was 2 feet tall and I use deep litter so it piles up and reduces the available space. It might be even taller because the site slopes. But much taller than that and it will be difficult to clean.

The new coop will be ground level and walk-in.

Mine only sits up about 6". Obviously the chickens cannot go underneath it, but good way of keeping ground moisture, flood water, and rodents out of it.

About 30" - hopefully high enough for me to get under if I ever need to.

Hi I was wondering what height most people have their coop off the floor?

I've done mine about 2 foot but Mrs Jambo has said it's too high!?! I was hoping to have the food and water under it so it's sheltered but the run is going to have a roof on it as well so that might not be a big issue?? View attachment 2208797

I’m building mine. I just made sure my wheelbarrow would fit under it. Not sure how high it is.

My homemade coop is only 15 inches off the ground.
It seems fine enough for our girls to get under for shade and dirt bath time, and we find the height is good for us as it is still small enough that we wouldn’t have to crawl under.

The ground slopes, so the height varies from 13" to 17"
They have 'steps' to get up, but they now can fly up without them.

Our just finished coop is at ground level. I wanted something I could walk into for cleaning and not have to craw underneath to get chickens out.

That is what I have mine at.
Easy to clean and check the nesting box.
A lot less bending over.
Also gives the girls some shade and shelter.

My coop is about 18" off the ground

How are you finding this works for you? I originally was going to build mine at 24” but my township has height maximums so I chopped the legs down 6” to ensure they wouldn’t try to site me.

I have mine sitting 3 feet off the ground. I hate bending down, it hurts my back. I made a wide door in the back where I can easily go in and clean out old shavings and the what not. If anything else is not reachable, the kids can go and grab it. Haha.
