What if the air cells are too big?

I'm worried about my marans eggs their air cells look larger than my barnyard mix breeds

Dark eggs sometimes are harder to tell. If both sets of eggs started at the same time I would not worry. Normally larger air cell would mean low humidity, but if the others look good I would carry on as is.

then its probably just some are "fresher" than others, you get this alot with shipped eggs, they still hatch fine but may have a lower dip in the air cell or "saddle" shaped cells..... We will see! Have 5 pups out of 16 shipped marans eggs that made it into lockdown.

One is very low (hatching in cartons) so keeping an eye on that but don't want to open the bator!

Still same not much progress. Are marans eggs shells tougher? Maybe takes them a bit longer?

I have read that it can take marans eggs 2 days longer to hatch as the shells are very thick, I am about to set some my self.
