No, there's already 10X the amprolium in Corid as medicated feed has in it. I wouldn't give them medicated feed while on Corid.

Did you have them on medicated before you started taking them outside? I'm curious as if you did, then I won't kick myself for not doing it as I just put chicks outside in a similar situation.

Yes. It's these younger ones that got it because they weren't used to the overload of the coccidia to their systems. Your adults are already used to it.

It doesn't hurt them though if you want to be on the safe side and just treat them too. Just make sure no vitamins until they're done with the Corid.

I'd give them vitamins and probiotics after they're done.

Check their crops first thing in the morning before they eat/drink.

They have very large crops in the photos which can be normal if they have been eating/drinking.

Stop the strawberries and blueberries for the time being so you can get good photos of the poop without the fruit coloring it up.

No, I didn't purchase medicated food this time because I didn't think it would be necessary because I use regular chick feed with my first flock.

The gave them the fruit after I noticed the bad poop. I wanted to give them some energy. Before that, I've been feeding them non medicated chick feed. Yes, their crops are extra swollen and bubble like. The white laced wyandotte passed overnight, and the sapphire gem a little while ago. The Sapphire Olive egger is doing well, but his crop isn't nearly as swollen, and the Oliver egger isn't doing too well. She's the smallest and seemed the worst, but she's still hanging on. I gave her .2 ml of direct Corid so I hope that will help her. I just hope they're not in pain. My husband wants me to put them out of their misery, but I can't, and I won't.

Giving a Direct Oral Drench of Corid is a good idea. Remember this is given 2X a day for 3 days IN ADDITION to them drinking the mixed Corid water at a rate of 2tsp Liquid Corid to 1gallon of water given for 5-7days.

You need to address those crop symptoms. What have they been eating and do they have Chick Grit Available?

Do work on them drinking the mixed Corid water to stay hydrated, it's a fine line of keeping them drinking and addressing a crop. Are the crops Fluid or Air filled? Hard? Doughy?

I'd start by giving them each 1/2tsp coconut oil twice a day. Harden the coconut oil in the fridge and give them little chunks.

I'd go ahead and get some Clotrimazole or Miconazole so you can begin treating the crop as Sour.

It would probably be a good idea to have an antibiotic on hand as well. Amoxicillin would be good choice, this *should* treat enteritis if this is part of the problem.

It's disheartening to lose this many at once and not know exactly the cause. If you lose another, refrigerate the body and send it to your state lab for analysis so you know what you are dealing with and can treat going forward.

Make sure the Corid water is the only source of water during treatment, and give them fresh Corid water every day.

Went to check on them this morning and they were both slowly eating their chick grit, which is wonderful because the my small Oliver egger would not attempt that on her own yesterday. I do think the corid is helping already. I've cleaned out all of the waterers, including the older chickens and out the corid solution in every container they're exposed to. Their crops are like bubbles. More so in the sapphire olive egger than the other. She's very week, but eating a little. I put them on the grass and they foraged for a couple minutes before wearing themselves out and then laid out in the sun. I have some plain nonfat chobani yogurt that I will mix with a little ginger to feed them soon. The poop is looking a bit better, but mo normal. The last picture of the gray one is how she has been. Weak, tired, and with heavy eyes.

So the crops are not emptying. You're checking first thing in the morning before they eat/drink.

I'd give the coconut oil and start them on an anti-fungal. Continue with the Corid Direct Oral Drench twice a day for a total of 3 days. This is in addition to them drinking the mixed Corid water too.

It's unusual for all to have crop problems at the same time so I'd investigate what they have been eating, if anything is old, moldy or rancid.

You can do probiotics while giving Corid, just not any vitamins. That might help the crop issues too. Generally, we'd use powdered probiotics like Hydro-Hen for their water but can't do that while giving Corid. If you don't ferment, then I'd pick up some Greek yogurt and give each of them a tablespoon or so of it, daily. I've torn a couple of paper plates in fourths and plopped some on each, so that helps make sure they all get some.
