What in Tarnation

It is a rescue. Someone dumped it on a lady with chickens assuming she knows what she is doing. She didnt. Not sure if she is a he, but she peeps instead of hissing, which ive heard for muscovys is the easiest way to tell. She/he is massive to me, but Ive only ever raised a tiny runt mallard, and small khaki campbells. So anything is massive lol
It's too young to tell by the sound, that comes later. They all peep at this age.

I would say by 6 months you will hear the adult sounds. Muscovy are different because by the time they are making sounds its obvious in appearance which is which.

What other methods of identification are there?
You can look at feet size, body size, head size. Males have a wider stance when they stand. They have bigger feet and tend to flop over them. They rest a lot while growing - sit a lot more than the females. Their body is much longer than a female. Their being growth is slower. Usually you compare them to their siblings or others of the same age.
If you want to take pics of the full body, top, side, feet etc, I can help. I cant guarantee my guess will be 100 though because pictures aren't always accurate. You see a lot more in person.
