I have hatched over 100 Jumbo Brown Coturnix eggs from 10 birds last year. My first hatch this year yields a "step-child" or something. What's going on here?

Apparently some of your birds carry white (english white), not all that uncommon

You need 2 copies of white (1 from each parent) for it to show up fully, so it's kind of a long shot.

Hmmmmm........ Maybe one of my Yokohama roos has been sneakin' into the Quail pen. Come to think of it, I have some white pigeon babies too. I think Impy has some competition!
