What in the heavens is this?

The Naked Necks can be inbred with other chickens and still have a naked neck. A true purebred NN turken is less common then the ones we showed above.

Mine lay green eggs - or will. They do extremely well in the cold, though I can't really figure out why. They were really hardy chicks!

A tiny serama with no tail...how cute :)

You can breed NNs to other chickens and get NNs...but, two non-NN chickens cannot produce a NN chick. I think that is what you were asking.

NNs do very well in heat..maybe that is why you are seeing them in PR.

Welcome... I am from PR too.. Over here where I live, I see a lot of chickens like that. well, not that small.... but very common here.

Welcome... from PR.

I Have EE, SLW, BR, OE, PR Game, Marans, Polsih splits, and BBS Ameraucana chickens here...

I really need to learn about breeds... you are right those are called seramas... I checked pics on the net and are the same with some slight variations. I have a small coop w/ couple of "kiris" (seramas) and English chickens... the pic on my profile is an egg that I incubated in a styrofoam incubator from an English hen and a tiny serama without tail... that cockarel is so cute... All English without a tail... and very docile.

Thanks for the info... can you recommend any site to learn just about breeds?

I like this: http://www.ithaca.edu/staff/jhenderson/chooks/chooks.html

or Feathersite http://www.feathersite.com/
or here.. https://www.backyardchickens.com/products/category/chicken-breeds

would you like to trade some Eggs....

Soon I will have hatchery Stock Ameraucana/ Correctly known as Easter Eggers...they lay blueish green Eggs. They will be fertile. I wouldn't mind getting a few more Puerto Rican Game hens in my flock. They protect my 'imported Chickens' from the local predators.

I live on the South West side of the Island.
