WHAT IN THE ?!? Steroids?!?

Hello everyone!! I can’t lie, although my duck knowledge is gaining tremendously; my chicken experience is slim. Like only a few weeks, slim. But never,... have I ever,seen anything like this!!!!!

What’s the deal here?? Steroids??? Turkey crossbreed?!?!? Alien mutation???!!!

It's likely a Brahma. They get huge.

It's a Light Brahma, the weight average for roosters is 12 lbs, but many can get very big, like that one (he weights 16.5 pounds)

It is a Light Brahma, which is a large breed. I have some hens and they are a lot bigger than the rest of the hens in my flock.

Part of the view of him being super gigantic is that the coop door....is small, our view of stairs goes off human stair spacing....those stairs are small....this makes him look overly gigantic in our minds.

While he is quite impressive he looks even more so because our human view is a bit skewed.
