This is the one we use, can see through Marans eggs clear as day.

Home Depot used to carry this one for $24 from Coast LED Lenser but I don't see it listed on their site anymore. Shop around, there's no need to pay $50+ for a flashlight/torch!

Why buy something expensive when chances are you have what you need already??

I've had the very expensive LED flashlights and special candlers. When we made this I took them back and got my money back and bought 4 bags of feed with it!

I use my husband's military grade LED flashlight and a shoe box lid with a hole cut in it and I go into the closet where there aren't any lights. I can see everything! Maran eggs are a bit tough, but I can see early if they've started or not. White eggs light up like Christmas lights!

Best candler I've seen is the the High Intensity Egg Lume from Brinsea...and of course, it's discontinued this year.

I can't find another anywhere...so I ordered extra bulbs for the one I have. I got it on sale for around $50 but it was money well spent. Wish I'd bought two! I like this one because I can see a lot while zooming through a few hundred eggs very quickly.
