what in your opinion is the most beautiful breath-taking rooster?

look up long tails they are stunning like phoenix, there is someone here on BYC who breeds them and has fantastic birds. I want to bree them with silkies lol

I also am not sure what rooster I want. So to decide, I ordered and have received 15 different breeds of rooster and some poulets. I will raise them to 16-20 weeks and keep the 1 or 2 I like best and will put the rest in the freezer. Mostly heavy breeds, thus will also be able to help determine the better fryers.

weloveourchickens, isn't that a silver pencilled rock rather than a speckled sussex? i think silver penc rocks are gorgeous birds.
this is blue, he's a homebred, ameracauna/cochin/white faced black spanish. would be difficult to find for you,

I have to say I love our big guy, Vida Blue. He is a Giant Blue Cochin.

This is the same bird that I had a post on a few months ago, with a broken hockjoint. Look at him now. He healed magnificantly. I had him in Roo Hospital for over three weeks and it worked. He is as good as new. He doesn't even limp. I am amazed myself.
He also fathered a mutt rooster that I think will be stunning. Of course we were hoping she was a girl, but now we are more convinced he is a boy. The mix is BO and Giant Blue cochin, and this roo is golden colored with thick featheres coming down its feet. He is only 5 weeks old, so we will see, but I think he will be a stunner.

I like bald footed bantams as a roo. But i was wondering what type of roo has the quietest most non disturbing crow?

If you have to ask that, you so do not need a Roo.

That's like wanting a dog that doesn't bark.

Since roos are individuals there's no way to tell even within the same breed the variation is gigantic, broad and unpredictable.

And my favorite roos are the Crele derivations - Gold Cuckoo Marans, or Crele OEG, or the gold creles in other breeds. Or all the partridge and BBR marked Roos, the red dorking, Partridge Rocks, BBR OEG.

Followed closely by BARRED Rocks, whether black barred or blue barred.

I am really partial to Cochin's, they are a beautiful mellow bird, I have grandchildren and I have never had a problem with my Cochin Roo, unfortunetly he got killed so I have a little almost 6 week old Partridge Cochin Roo and a Austrolorp Roo, and I have a Blue Wyandotte Roo being shipped out today. But the Cochins are my favorite.
