Hi all . Just setting up my coop which I am using a large shed for at the min . I have ordered some perches and a little swing ladder thing . Just wondering what everyone has inside their coop and what have people used for nesting boxes ? I’ve seen some great ideas from old milk crates and barrels and things . Just looking for inspiration . Would be grateful if people would post pictures of the inside of their chicken coops please !
many thanks in advance !

I used milk crates for a while, they work great.
I love the pics of your birds!

I have roosts and a nesting box, that is all. Nesting box is a large plastic tub with a lid and a hole cut into the side. I have mounted it on the wall. It is big enough for 2 hens to sit side by side but they always choose to squish up to one side even if there are two of them in there!

No food or water in the coop for me. Its all in the run. They don't need it at night and are outside most of the day with access to the coop. Not going to invite rats in!

Unfortunately, my coop is too crowded at the moment with the perch, the overly-large hanging feeder, and the waterer up on concrete blocks (nestboxes are outside mounted).

My intent is to build a rain-shelter to enable me to get the feeder and waterer out into the pen. Then it will just be roost, bedding, and chickens indoors.

One nesting box (inside, mounted to the wall), one roost, a ramp to the roost, and poop mat under the roost. Food and water are going to stay in the run. They just go into the coop to lay and sleep. To sleep, perchance to poop. Well, to definitely poop. :)
