What is a BBS Silkie?

We are newbies, in the process of getting some silkie chicks (we hope tomorrow they will come into the feed store). But I saw an ad in our local classifieds for BBS silkie chicks and I'm wondering what they are (I called the ad, but no answer). I'm aware of black, white, blue and splash silkies, but I'm unfamiliar with what BBS stands for. Thanks in advance for your help! : )

I don't really know, but a guess would be black blue splash or blue black splash

whatever it is, I bet its better than something at the feed store that they make by the thousands. Not that I have anything against feed store chicks since 10 out of 11 of my chicks came from a feed store, including my silkie roo and my week old black silkie chick. They are sooooooo cute, just be prepared for that.

Thank you! Blue and splash are my favorite colors! Believe me, I would not be getting these chicks from a feed store if I could find ANY silkie hens or chicks anywhere around here. (I see free silkie roos from time to time, but thats not helping me, LOL!) I even went to a local poultry show 2 weeks ago, and the president of the club did not even know any breeders of silkies! Thats why I was particularly interested in the ad I saw, I will have to get more info from the seller. Thanks again!
