What is a good quality candler?

I have been using a flashlight to candle, but I have seen other little gadgets too. So what do you use? What works the best?

I have not been able to beat the one I made and easy to do. Just make a little box 8" x 8" with a bottom and top (removeable), cut a hole in the top to set the egg on. If you have many different size eggs you can make more tops. Go to the hardware store and but a 300 watt light bulb and the plug. Place the plug on the bottom and wire it up and there you have it. It is the only one I have seen that will let the light though a BCM #8. DO NOT LET THE EGG SET TO LONG or you will cook the chick (HOT).

If you would really like to know the answer to this question......

I do use an LED flashlight some.. but I use the light on my iPhone 4 the most. It's easier to use, has a soft case so the egg is flush with the light, which means no weird cupping action which is required with a flashlight.

I use a mini mag light with the rubber ring on the top... works great!

I'm using a flashlight. But I saw a post somewhere on here. It said they used a high intensity cool lume candler. Haven't looked them up yet, but i'm gonna.

Check out Brinsea. I'd even spring for the top model if I had it to do over again. The top model magnifies slightly.

I have a coleman max that I got from Walmart it is 90 lumens and I can see through Marans eggs with it. It cost about 20.00, but its worth it.
