What is a good snack for ducks

welcome-byc.gif
Glad to have you here with our flock! Good luck with your duckling raising adventures, and I hope you find everything you need to know! Don't forget to drop by BYC's learning center for advice (if you haven't already)! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to post them. Mealworms make a good treat if that is what you are asking.

Congratulations!

Wait on the snacks a few days, though. If you want to hand feed them, moisten some crumble and put it in your palm and let them eat out of your hand.

Please read this

it will answer your questions, I think.

Note that 2 weeks is, I feel, too young to withhold any food, so keep their food and water with them 24/7 for at least 6 weeks.

Welcome (c:

When they get a little older I recommend peas, that is a favorite of my ducks.

I give mine lettuce cabbage and cans of sardines in tomato sauce as treats they love them. I sometimes get cans of mackerel in oil i wash the oil off and break them up for the ducks aswell. If they are ducklings i wouldn't risk giving them fish yet though, too many calories and too much protein causes angel wing in ducklings.

It is when the ducks wings don't grow into the right position they kind of stick out to the side. One of my drakes has it ill see if i can get a picture for you.
