Welcome to the forum! One word of caution, feeding wild birds with the peas can invite Avian Influenza. There are risks to everything and if I could free range all of my birds I would. It is glorious to watch them walking about the property living free as God intended.I have eight peafowl, one male and seven females. They are free roaming. I have a variety of foods out, as I am also accomodating doves and squirrels and even voles. And common wild birds of course. So, I have been experimenting for a long time. They quite enjoy dove food. Kaytee Supreme Dove Food seems to be their favorite (I don't work for them, I promise). I add dried mealworms for extra protein, and a no mess bird seed blend without shells that has sunflower seeds, millet, and peanuts. They really like peanuts. If I throw out salad, they go for the carrot shreds first. Anyway, I'm not an expert, but they seem to be happy and healthy!
