How do you produce an offspring that's considered a "trio"?

I'm a little confused. I know how to breed a rooster and a hen. But how do you get what they call a true trio?

And what is a trio?

Does the offspring carry 3 different bloodlines? Is that what they mean by trio?

As Kelck22 said a trio is 1 rooster with 2 hens and a reverse trio is 2 roosters with one hen.

And all 3 are the same breed correct?

I think I understand now. The reason for trio breeding is to maintain a strong strain?
