what is an aquarium fish that reproduces the most!!!!!!!!?????????????

Guppies can be efficient breeders. Unfortunately, to be honest, your best bet is to probably just buy bait/feeder fish from a supplier and supplement as much as you can. Dig for worms, start a mealworm culture, catch bugs, breed some crickets, etc. If you can get to eat cut up fish filet or beefheart, all the better. How long do you plan to keep it?

i dont know. i would love to keep him for as long as he lives.. i know ill need to get a bigger tank but until now he should be fine..
i caught some moths and he wouldnt eat them. why?
i caught some worms a few nights ago and he wouldnt eat them. why?
i have some cichlids that i dont like, and he wouldnt eat them. why?

is he still getting used to stuff??
is he not hungry..how often do they eat?

I would probably guess that he's stressed. Make sure that there is plenty of plant life and driftwood or other hideyholes that he can hide in. How big is it right now and what size tank is it in? I have had rock bass babies and a baby catfish in aquariums, but they were always started out young, never large fish. The catfish is a hog, will eat anything and everything, even after having a belly that literally looks like it's going to pop. The bass were much more finicky. I did eventually get them to eat pelleted food, but they weren't easy to convince. If he's a big guy, try going back to where you got it and skimming through the weeds in the water, you might be able to find babies instead.

well hes about 6 inches. hes in a 35 gallon tank.
i know were there are babies at. i may do that.
i know he should be in a bigger tank but i dont have the money to get another one at this time... theres a big 55 gallon downstairs but thats my grandpas and he wont let me have that one. if he did that would be amazing but he wont. hes got his own fish in it. as soon as i get enough money to get a bigger tank i definetly am.

i will be going to my friends some time and he lives on a lake so i think i may get some baby bass 1 or 2 of them.

thanks. cole.

If you caught him with a hook he may never eat and die. I have noticed this with fish I have caught. If he was net caught this isnt an issue. He is stressed and it will take him a long while to get used to the tank.
reasons they dont eat:

water is colder then he is used to
water is warmer then he is used to
damage from handling/hook
stress, think about what happened the last time he ate, he got a hook in his lip.

If the water is cold add a heater to get his metabolism going, they dont eat much in the winter. I would get an anti parasite such as "tank buddies" treatment as the stress may cause them to explode in him.

Dont even offer him food for several days. Fish can go weeks without eating if they were good and healthy to start with. Let him get good and hungry. The very first food I would offer him are rosy red minnows or guppies. These he can eat when he wants, especially if he is a night eater. After a while and he is comfortable he will start eating other things. You can start offering worms by hand. Once he associates you with food he can be switched over to ciclid pellets. He can eat exclusively pellets once he takes them. Most feed stores can also order large 25-50 pound bags of "pond fish food" that you can use. Many farmed bass are raised on this diet.

Guppies reproduce pretty fast. but you also have to worry about treatingthe tank when theyget sick, and making sure they have all the equipment like heaters, a large tank, etc. They can get expensive to breed at times. A six inch fish will eat nothing larger then a baby commonguupy.

I agree the hook may have damaged his mouth.
