What is an EE ????

    I see it every where but do not understand the Acronym EE is a All American from different breads or what?

    Easter Egger:) Mixed chicken. My "Lily" my avatar is an Easter Egger! She has a full beard and green legs and this momma's hopes that one day she will lay a pretty colored egg!!!

    Acronym for Easter Egger. Mixed/mutt/non-standard bird who lays blue green or brown eggs but with blue laying parents, but does not fit the standard for Araucanas or Ameraucanas yet sadly is sold commonly as such.

    It's not a pure breed or recognized as a true breed. It is supposed to have Ameracuana traits, but not always. But basically a mutt chicken that can lay different colored eggs.

    Besides the colorful eggs, part of the fun of owning an EE is you never know what it's gonna look like when it's grown.
