What is best way to train kittens to live with chickens

Awwww that is the cutest picture I have seen in a long time.

I think it may also depend on the cat

My cat doesn't even bother the chickens and sometimes rolls on her back when she's around them, like she wants her belly rubbed or she wants to play. She's also been around our newborn chicks and walks by without a care in the world. Just this afternoon I had the chicks on the other side of the yard. Chicks decided they wanted their mommies so all 9 of them ran across the yard to the run where the mommies were. My cat was in the bushes watching them the whole time just watching. No attempt to chase these little fuzzy butts (they're only 3 days old!).

Our cat used to stalk our chickens. Never pounced, but I'm sure he imagined taking them one of them out in his head.

Not too long ago, I caught one of the hens ... stalking him!

My how times had changed!

She pecked him on the rump and he ran for cover!

My (formerly) stray cat and her now 12 wk old kittens go out and visit the chickens frequently. They make no effort to have any adverse interaction with them and in fact the chickens all appear to be bigger than the mama cat and could probably eat one of the kittens. Basically they just all hang out and sunbathe together. Even my Jack Russells sunbathe out there and ignore the chickens from the opposite side of the fence (though I'm not remotely stupid enough to allow them to spend any "quality" time together.....) I wouldn't worry about the cats.

Mine's the same way. She'll watch the birds, then glare at me, then watch them some more. She's been known to be a bird eater, but she knows who these birds belong to and has never laid a paw on them.

Rather than eating them, my biggest problem was keeping my very lazy tomcats from eating all the corn crumbles... I mean they get face down and just chow when we feed the chickens. They love watching the birds, but the birds know how to intimidate them easily enough that you feel more sorry for the toms than the chickens... especially when they bail up onto our laps crying pitiously at how much the chickens pick on them.
