What is coming out of my chicken? *Gross pictures, not to graphic though*

This morning I went out to the coop to find this hanging out of my almost 1 1/2 year old BSL





It looks like a flat tube with a half egg shape at the end - it looks papery and wet. What could this possible be, and how would I fix it? She is walking a little slower/less, I don't know about eating/drinking.

Holy cow...I would guess that's a failed egg. Have you done anything, or is it still hanging out of her?

Still hanging out of her. I didn't want to anything because I didn't want to hurt her.

It's a soft eggshell. Slowly and gently pull it out in one piece. Try not to let it break off...go easy.

Looks like egg. You could try filling your bath tub with warm water, just high enough to cover the chickens butt. Keep her in the water until the water starts cooling. This may loosen it up, ty to pull it out very gently in the water.

Thankfully, she passed it on her own. She is now her normal talkative self. *whew*
