In the last 2 days, Doug, my rooster, has had to deal with 2 new ducks and 3 new chicks in this run. He had a minor issue with the chicks but has gotten over it (it only lasted a day).
Now he follows me around everywhere!
If I speak, he comes running. When I go in the run, he is at my feet the whole time. We go turn over rocks together and dig for bugs. He's never raised his hackles or danced or anything. He just follows me around and is permanently stuck inside my bubble!
Is this normal? Is he going to start showing a bad attitude?
Our theory in the family is that he was jealous of the babies and wants to make sure he's still my favorite and he's just kissing a$$
Is everyone right? Or should I start keeping a super close eye on him?
