What is everyone's hobby?

I'm a stay at home mom and I was wondering what everyone's hobbies were. Maybe I can get some new ideas for awesome things to do. Also if you have any hobbies or ideas for children let me know. Thank you 😃
Gardening can be a fun hobby to do with children, depending on their age.
Tie-dye some t-shirts
Make a wind-sock
Go on Pinterest - there'll be more ideas than you'll know whatto do with :)

I've just now started looking at pinterest but I am still trying to figure it out haha

HIIIIII! I am so happy to help! The trick is loving your room and its style. You have to love your room in order to take easier care of it. Every time you take something out of its spot, put it back! Every Sunday, I clean up my room and change the sheets. The trick is being able to be happy about keeping your personal space clean, maybe adding new decorations? new pillows? art? a small bubblegum machine that has your favorite candy in it? The possibilities are endless! Its up to you!

Hope this helped!

That is a helpful perspective! I think my main hangup is a lack of time to truly organize and make a designated space for everything. Feels like I’d need a whole month to get through it all…

The squirrels living in my brain don’t like to help, either.

They are both boys about to be 5 and 9. You had me rolling with the killing houseplants 🤣 I'm the same, but luckily my husband has a green thumb. I just got a sewing machine so I want to learn to make my own clothes and such. Whittling sounds fun and intriguing.
I have one green thumb and one black thumb....
Legos!!! Legos are amazing also!!! XD

Too many and so many come and go! Lol been a homeschool mom for 17 years now. We tried entomology (bugs), photography, all kinds of crafts- paints, bird houses, recycling. Pets lol (many outside critters lol) gardening: veggie and flower, cooking, baking, chickening(probably my favorite now to just sit with them)

I crochet/knit as well as write romance, and read.

I second this idea:
Legos!!! Legos are amazing also!!! XD

I've seen quite a few children (including myself) enjoy building things.
Possible building toys include:

Legos or Duplos
Lincoln Logs
Wooden blocks
Outdoors: stacking bricks or rocks or sticks
Stacking cardboard boxes (empty or full). Kleenex boxes work well.
Building things with actual wood/nails/screws/glue
Minecraft on a computer
Playdough or Clay or playing with mud/dirt/sand
Wood train set (build track, drive train on it)
Electric train set (arrange track, watch train drive on it)

Things like jigsaw puzzles or sewing could also be considered "building" things if you stretch the meaning a bit.

If the kids are interested in sewing, you could have them try some easy projects (pillowcase for their bed, throw pillow for the couch, drawstring bag to hold something, stuffed toy snake, potholder for the kitchen.) Or you could let them have access to scrap fabric, make sure they know how to use the scissors and needles safely, and let them make whatever they want. Even if you think they are not doing a good job, they can learn a lot and have fun. That is why I recommend letting them have scrap fabric: if you do not feel that they are wasting "good" fabric, it is easier to sit back and let them do things their own way.
