The roots just tangle up into a matted mess. So when you pull it out of the container, it's just a mat of roots and greens.

  I do alfalfa sprouts that way. For me and the chickens.
 What can I say? I'm old. Well, old-ish. I like to see things and pick them up before I buy them.
