What is going on?!

Well it kind of depends on how you are feeding the geese. Are you just scattering the feed or putting it in a designated place suck as a feeder? Also if you want to keep the vultures away from the feed take a plastic barrel and turn it on its side without a top. Put the feeder inside the barrel so the vultures won't be able to find it as easily. But the geese could eat happily, and plus you could leave the feed out when it's raining because it won't get wet thanks to the barrel.

It's in a big bucket next to their water

Do your geese have the opportunity to graze? Feed can be important and especially when seasonal changes make grazing sparse. However, they are grazing animals and need the nutrients the get by eating that way. Mine graze all day long. They have access to feed as a supplement but would rather graze anytime.

Yes they do, it's pretty long right now though.

You didn't see any sign of injury on your gosling? I see you still don't lock them in at night for their own protection. That is not such a good idea. Can you put up bird netting? some use it to cover their aviaries when they have flying ducks and also to keep out flying predators.

Actually I have been locking them up, I didn't for about two nights, this happened. ):

Older, 15 weeks almost. I checked all over, he seemed pretty healthy except he was dead. No blood, none of his feathers were messed up or out of place

They hide illness so well it could have been something going on for a while and you just didn't pick up on it. Another reason for me I want to keep my flock at a number I feel I can keep up with so I won't hopefully miss something. Not saying your ignoring your flock but they just hide sickness sometimes until it's too late.
I'm very sorry so hard to lose them.

I know chickens can die of fright not sure about water fowl.

Pear just died also. Perfectly fine this morning, around noon he wasn't chatting us up, around 2 he was closing his eyes while standing, rushed him to the vet and they GUARANTEED me he was acting strange because his "food wasn't being digested fast enough" they massaged his crop and put some like, loosening stuff down his throat and sent me home saying he would be great. I hugged him for a few minutes then took a nap, I woke up and noticed he wasn't peeping, looking down and he was dead.

I am so furious. Why did the vet not do any tests? I even ASKED her if it was avian flu or ANYTHING of the sort and she just told me he was fine, no tests or any further exam other than feeling his crop. Outraged, devastated, frustrated.

I should've told her to do some tests, or demanded it. It was my job to help him and I messed up, I hate myself right now. He was perfectly fine this morning, too. Ran around outside, went swimming in the tub, slept in my bed, absolutely no sign of him being in distress, and when I did see the first sign I scheduled a vet appointment and it only got worse.

and now he's gone. I'm giving away all of my geese, I'm not doing it anymore without Pear. I will not be coming back to this forum. I love you ALL so much, and it's been such a joy becoming friends with you all.
