In the middle of it all
We started with four chickens, two hens, two roosters in a nice little coop, and fed commercial ration. I was happy with my new chickens.

Well, that was until I caught the fever. Chicken fever.

Now, I have fifty-five chickens, they free range and I'm feeding them off of my own plate. This is a sickness, and I never want to be cured!!!

I think you sound like most of us.

I started with 6 Barred Rock, 2 RIR, and a Sexlink for layers. The next year I added a few more and a flock of bantam pets. Over the past 4 years that has expanded to 108 chickens that range in size from 14 lbs to 17 ounces.

I've always believed "Too much of a good thing.........is JUST RIGHT!"

I've never considered myself an addictive personality. I don't drink to excess, never done drugs, never smoked, eat a wee bit too much (HA). However, this passion for chickens is unbelievable!

At least if I was on drugs I could go to rehab. With chickens THERE IS NO CURE !

Do you think they have chickens at the Funny FARM?
