What Is Happening To Me?!

Welcome to the wide wide world of BYC!!! I started with 12 or so banties last year, and over the winter buying and selling, and now with the 2 hatchery orders, feed store chicks, and of course home hatched, I have around 135 birds. Good thing all but 27 or so of them are my adults. By the way anyone want some 2 month old birds in or around ABQ NM? LOL Seriously I have a few for sale. I need space. PM me

:cdAlthough I only have 3 hens, I, too, am smitten with my girls. I can't wait to go out in the morning to say hello to them. My buff orpington just started laying, somewhat intermittently, and I'm really looking forward to eggs from the other 2. I love how they follow me around, waiting for treats. I just love my chicklets!

I love being a chicken addict!

We started out with 3 serama....had babies...gave them away to a girl who lost her chickens when a tree fell on her coop:(
then we got more seramas....
A short time after that we got 4 black star laying hens. Lost two but then gained a EE rooster which gave us babies from the BStars.
Then.....we hatched out a BUNCH more serama.....sold some....kept some.
THEN

we went to the chicken show in Columbus and got 2 snowy ducks(got babies from them this spring) AND won 2 seramas and 3 button quail at the auction they had there!

It was so exciting!
After a while we got some RIR's and some more EE's, 2 Australorps, a silkie pair, 7 white rocks, 7 D'Uccles, sliver-laced wyandotes, 3 guineas, a texas A&M, and a pair of ameraucana bantams.
All in all we have about 60 birds....and soon to get more pending chicken coop constructions!!!!!!!!!!
