He looks like a lot of my ones hatched this year… which are an ameracauna rooster, and then the ones who looked most like this were RIR hens.. I am not an expert by any means. I also have ameracauna hens, a barred rock, and some leghorns. But he looks a lot like my rooster machiatto !

That's what I thought, at first, but his comb is all wrong, so I have no clue. He's just all over the place. White legs, what I'm assuming is a pea comb, has barring, has lacing, orange eyes, and almost no wattles....

You have pictures? Would love to see him!

Easter egger maybe? Those guys can look very odd sometimes. I have three and they all look different. A lot of places mark Easter Eggers as ameraucanas. Ameraucanas have an APA standard. Not Easter Eggers. Co ops and mass marketing has muddied the waters.

Yes, that looks like a pea comb, and the lack of wattles is another effect of the gene that causes pea comb.

With the mix of colors, and the pea comb, I wonder if he's some kind of Easter Egger? Of course he isn't going to lay eggs for you to check, but many odd-looking chickens with pea combs are Easter Eggers.

Or he might just be some kind of barnyard mix. Depending on how many generations of mixing are in his ancestry, it might be impossible to figure out.
