What is in my yolk?

My cinnamon queens have just started laying and in two of them I have found little dots in them. Can you please tell what they are and is it ok?

Hi, welcome to BYC!

Those are either meat spots or blood spots. Can't remember which is which but one is on the yolk and the other in the white.

They are considered safe for consumption.

It looks like tiny blood spots. It's really minor, sometimes they can be quite large. Great yolk color!!

Just a blood spot. nothing to worry with there. yolk color is good. Mine range from nice yellow to darker yellow. It seems when they are grain fed, yolks are lighter and when they free range more and eat more bugs, it is a dark yellow.
