Our female Pyr was $1700.00 and our male was $400 you can deffinately tell the difference LOL she's incredible, he's good, but she's almost human she's so intelligent, her instincts are incredible. This breeder has mostly imported lines from Europe, her dogs are incedible and she sells out regularly. I have heard of other breeds who will guard against air predators, but ut's not as common as the Pyrs, I guess i shouldn't say they're the 'only' breed to do it, but they are the most common...

whoa....how about 50 bucks lol...jk....my australian shepherd was selling for 1200 and my golden retriever we paid 400 or 600 i dont remember lol....but the retriever was that much in the 90s lol

I've seen our German shepherd mix from the local animal shelter chase a hawk out of the yard. She was going nuts, barking and jumping up at a dense sugar maple tree. She flushed a large red-tailed hawk out of it and chased it across the property, until it was gone. She just happens to have a lot of protective instinct. She's very diligent about patrolling the property when she's outside.

We didn't choose her because we wanted a protection dog, but she has turned out to be a real treasure. I'm not sure what we're going to do when it comes time to look for another dog. She'll be leaving some pretty big paw prints to fill in this household.

well i brought home my bfs English Field Setter. They are bird dogs so Im hoping she can at least show me where the bodies are. She goes nuts over my chickens!!! The first time we brought her in the coop (with a leash of course) she started whining and going psycho like shed been hit by a car! We literally had to DRAG her out. I hope she can help me fine these guys. I would buy her anything she wants if she does! lol....Now I just have to wait for it to stop raining and we can go look. Wish us luck!
