What is it with women and eyelashes? I don't get it.

Took this pic to show friend my irritated eye....you can all be jealous of my eyelashes now

They are SUPER annoying when they touch glasses/sunglasses and if I look up they sometimes catch in my eyebrows

Therefore I understand. However I would NEVER hack them off. Craziness.......

My SO has beautiful long eyelashes to frame his denim blue eyes. I am sooo jealous but I get to see them everyday..and he'd never think of trimming them. Mine got longer when I lived in Chicago for some reason, and I LOVED it!! Long and full eyelashes are just so nice and they are great "curtains" to the eyes which are supposed to be "windows."

I'm wondering if there is a way to adjust the glasses a little, so that you still benefit from them, but they won't rub your lashes. Maybe you could paint some layers of Elmer's glue on the part that rests on your nose, to raise the glasses out a little from your eyes.

That would be nice... My eyelashes are really long too, and they always leave oily marks on my glasses (I have oily hair...

) and it gets really annoying sometimes. I don't need mascara but I'll wear it sometimes just because I like the fact that I'm wearing it.. if that makes any sense.

My DH does not like it when I wear make-up. Other than mascara, I pretty much don't use it. My lashes are stubby and straight. I would love long eyelashes even more than I would lovve to lose some weight!

I few years ago I decided I wanted some highlights in my hair. I went to a salon and paid $140 to get my hair foiled in what I was expecting to be dark reddish, subtle highlights in my dark hair. They came out blonde! Afterwards, I met my DH and son at my son's Dr. office. I sat there in the waiting room with them and DH did not say a thing, just kept reading a magazine.

Finally I spoke up "did you notice my hair?'

DH replied:"Yeah, but my mother taught me that if I don't have anything nice to say I shouldn't open my mouth."

Then my son (who is autistic) chimed in. "I like your hair mommy! It's striped, and I love stripes! Next time can you make them silver and green? I like those colors better."

My hair used to be so dark brown, most folks thought it was black, now it's mostly gray. I have more important things to spend time and money on so I leave it gray. Once when I was younger, they had this coloring mousse stuff that was supposed to come out after about 12 washings... I was thinking about coloring my hair so thought I would try that to see if I liked it. I was an aircraft mechanic in the AF, stationed on Guam at the time. I was at work and it started raining. I don't know if it was salt in the rain or what, but when the maintenance truck came around I saw myself in the truck mirror and the stuff was ALL OVER my face! That was the last time I colored my hair.

I don't wear make-up much, never have. One day I was going to my step daughters parent teacher conference and didn't want to embarrass the kid so I wore the stuff (didn't apply it with a trowel, just wore a little). DD was about 4 at the time and saw me when I came home. She just went on and on about how 'pretty' I looked, and I thanked her. In a reverent voice, she asked if I was wearing make-up, and again said it was pretty. After a moment of silence, she then said 'You put that on so the teachers didn't see you ugly?'

MFB, I can tell that you really love your wife, and want to make sure that she is happy... so the solution might be for you to get one of those eyelash curler thingies and just curl them out of your way

Sorry everyone but I have to wear a little makeup. I am very light skinned. When God made me he made me to glow in the dark

I cant go out in the sun without sun screen or I burn so I dont get alot of color from the sun. On the upside from that I am 52 and dont have hardly any wrinkles, but I would look like pale death if I didnt put ba little powder on. As for the mascara and eyes I wear glasses and to make my eyes seen from under them I wear the mascara. My DH says I dont need all that stuff. I am a knock out with out it. Glad he thinks so as I guess I dont see what he sees. Trust me I am not a girly girl. My favorite cloths are my old jeans a pink John Deere shirt and My pink John Deere boots. Guess I am kinda girly.

I just think people should do what they are comfortable with. And is it makes MFB comfortable to cut his eyelashes then that ok. I wouldnt do it. Like someone else said would scare the h*** out of me.

During the summer the only makeup i wear is mascara. Sometimes a little shadow. But during the winter i need the color just in case we have an influx of zombies in the neighborhood. Don't want to be part of the hunted. Once on a walk with my hubby it started raining unexpectedly. He drew me close and said,"Here, stand underneath my eyelashes." I am forever teasing him about them.
