Definitely a Silkie cross. The trait for regular feathers is dominant over Silkie feathers; that is why he has regular feathers. He is a very handsome boy.
Thank you! I'm thinking of putting him and Charlotte who is half Silkie together for a few chats and see what comes of it. She's pitch black, tiny, and a born broody.
If Charlotte also has regular feathers you will have a 25% chance of getting some Silkie feathered birds. If she has Silkie feathers then you have a 50% chance of getting Silkie feathered birds.
Charlotte has kind of regular feathers. They aren't stiff as most but are very soft. They don't look like a Silkie but don't feel or look typical either.
Yep, silkie cross with white ear lobed breed. I have a few little roo's like him but instead of gold they have silver. They are sikie x cochin bantam crosses. I wish I could find them a nice home.
