What is making this noise?

Nothing better than going to sleep listening to the frog chorus! It puts me right to sleep! ........ Then the neighbors dog barks at 3 am and wakes us all up, by then we are down to one lone peeper and a barking dog

No, I don't mind him either. I just wondered what the heck can be so persistant?

For us, after the frogs it will be the Whip-Poor-Wills, and they can be very persistant also. I counted 198 from one that was on the roof out side my bedroom window, a record that has stood for 40 yrs.
