I have seen this mentioned a few times, and was wondering if I need to have my flock vaccinated...Im not too sure what they all are, but here's a guess...three light Brahmas, one Red Comet, one possible Rhode Island Red rooster, two black hens with green feathers on their rear??, and two blue Silkie chicks. These are my first chickens here on my place, and to my knowledge, there havent been any others prior to my moving here...as I have read this disease can be in the soil from previously infected flocks...true?? I see a lot of ppl saying their Silkies have been vaccinated...are they more prone to the disease?
