what is my duck doing? weird head motion?

Sorry for the terrible video quality, but you can see the duck clearly enough. My duck does this strange dead bobbing that is different than typical head bobbing. She's responsive and will stop doing it for a treat or if she finds something to nibble and never does it swimming. Any thoughts? It is just "fun" or is it something unusual? She does it all the time and seems fine, but it is so unusual looking.

My female Cayuga does it to my male all the time and just recently my welsh harlequin has started to do it. I just though it was a mating thing but I guess it's just normal duck "talk"?

Boy, is only I wasn't such a dunderhead, hehe! When he was young, I took Wobbles into the vet several times for what turned out to be totally normal duck behavior. It really has been a steep learning curve for us!

Great to hear that not only is it normal, it is "happy duck" behavior. She doesn't do it to any of the ducks in particular, and she does it ALL THE TIME so it really looks goofy. Glad to hear it is so normal!
