To young to tell really...

Males... their quack will turn into much more of a raspy whisper. Eventually they will get a curl on their tail that females will not.

I'm not super duck breed savvy.. looks like a dark heard coming in which makes me think male... if that is welsh Harlequin....

But I am here to learn also.

What is the actual age? Do you know the breed?

Its a Muscovy so no quacking. Its to young to say for sure. Post pics in couple more weeks, if it stays relatively the same size its a female. If it goes through a huge growth spurt its a male.

Muscovy duckling. Unsure of variety but could be barred? Is that the only one you have? If so I would suggest getting him/her another Muscovy friend ASAP. Chickens will not keep him happy..
